Technical textiles represent major technological challenges to be met, notably in sensoriality and functionality thanks to added properties that interact with a person or his or her environment. Yet these textiles require establishing functional specifications and creating specific metrologies that provide proof of the functions claimed. This is how IFTH must contribute, at an international level, to the search for new technologies for textile products and processes dedicated to the automobile.
