A member of the international OEKO-TEX® association since 1994, IFTH is the only organisation authorised to process these certification requests in France.

IFTH carries out tests according to the specifications defined by the international OEKO-TEX® association.

The OEKO-TEX® standard 100 is an international control and certification system. It involves all the players in the network: producers, transformers, distributors, retailers, etc. It applies to: raw materials (fibres, spun yarns, yarns, gray goods), intermediary products (printed and dyed fabrics), accessories or ornaments (buttons, slide fasteners, embroidery, ornaments, transfers, etc.) and finished articles (garments, curtains, bedding articles, etc.).

All types of textiles are involved: ready to wear, childcare, medical textiles, technical textiles, furnishing, decoration, automobile, etc. This certificate is recognised by professionals of the textile sector, which sometime require it in their specifications as a guarantee for safety. Depending on its use (childcare, contact with skin, decoration, etc.), this certificate guarantees that undesirable or forbidden substances that can create a risk for consumers will be excluded or limited.

The OEKO-TEX® certificate, which is valid for a period of one year, is granted by an independent laboratory approved by the OEKO-TEX® Association, after carrying out a technical expertise of the certification document and control tests.

The OEKO-TEX standard 100 is synonymous with transparency (traceability control), safe manufacturing (tests) and commitments (chemical products selected + unscheduled audits carried out by the OEKO-TEX® Association). With numbers that are constantly growing, there are now over 10,000 companies and millions of articles that have been certified.
