Today, players in the Health sector and infant care professionals want to have the same information for 0 to five-year old children as that obtained in the FMC.
In fact, IFTH’s knowledge of the human body, its skills in using measurement tools and its experience in taking these measurements among the general public has led it to becoming the main player in this project called 3D Child.
The 3D Child Measurement Campaign has the goal of correctly redefining the sizes of 0 to five-year olds by comparing the changes in their morphology with that of adults and understanding them, and remedying to the lack of knowledge.
For the 3D Child campaign, two populations of children were taken into consideration: 0 to two-year olds and three to five-year olds.
A measurement protocol was set up for each category. To meet statistical requirements, IFTH measured a total of 1506 children in France.
